Craps Strategy No Skill Needed

Some accuse craps as being a game with absolutely no skill. Sure, a person doesn’t need training in throwing the dice and they don’t need any kind of formal training in learning how to play the game. It is a game of chance in which many people use many different strategies to win. It is sort of like finding a new pair of shoes that fits perfectly; it’s the same way when finding the best way to play Craps.

Anything but the seven

This strategy is an interesting strategy. You first don’t want to place bets on the Pass or Don’t Pass line, so you’re going to wait for the point to be established. Next, you want to place two units on the 5, the 6, and the 8. Last, you’re going to place a single unit on the field. Now keep in mind that this method is rather risky, so you want to remove all of your bets after three rolls have taken place. Yet if the shooter chooses to hold the dice for those three rolls, you will stand to win something.

The point of this strategy is to win on any number except for the seven. If you are a risk taker, then you can use this strategy. If you want to make it really interesting, try playing on just the 6 and the 8. You won’t make a Pass Line or a Don’t Pass Line bet, simply make sure a point is made and wait until the shooter rolls the dice at least one more time. You can then place your bet on both the 6 and the 8. Once 6 and 8 are made, ask the dealer to place an amount slightly higher than your initial bet. For example, if you bet $18 on the 6 and $18 on the 8, ask the dealer for $22 inside. On the next hit you then ask the dealer to take down the 5 and the 9. Finally, you just play the roll for three more rolls and then bring down the 6 and the 8.

A game of strategy

Sound pretty simple? Well, thankfully it isn’t rocket science and gives you that gutsy feeling in this game of chance. In betting responsibly and knowing the rules of the game, such as the fact that the idea of craps is to have a “point” number and roll that number a second time before the number seven is ever rolled. Only the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, as well as 10 can be point numbers and remaining rolls are special in their own way depending on the time they are rolled.

That was just a little Craps refresher for you, but being that the game is a game that anyone can learn, it is rather important that you keep the basic rules in mind and either find a strategy or develop a strategy of your own to build your game upon. Besides, you’re there for the money, so it is worth spending a little time getting your game on.
